This amazing client was confined to wheelchair for a lengthy period, but is making great progress following successful surgery for spinal stenosis. 

Look at her move! She is evidently stronger from doing Pilates with me AND doing prescribed movement in short spurts at home. 

She is also coping with bad arthritis, particularly in knees and hips. Joint replacement is on the cards. But she is focused, determined and good-humoured. 

Sharing this with her permission to reinforce that Pilates isn't all about long lean muscles or flat abs. 

Thank you, my friend. Keep believing in yourself! 🤛🏻

It can sometimes take a lot to get the men doing Pilates. And this isn't any man, but my beloved man! Some of you may know him with his usual full head of hair (see last pic!). He's recovering from extended hospital stays; chemo, radiation and accompanying muscle loss, overall weakness and exhaustion. He had first full Pilates session at home two weeks ago and is now feeling the extra control working with equipment. His specialists recommended Pilates!!
